Foodbank Collection Point opened at Neston Methodist Church & Community Centre

There are families in Neston, Chester and Ellesmere Port struggling to put food on the table. Chester & Ellesmere Port foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s UK-wide foodbank network which works with local churches and communities.

In April 2013, Neston Methodist Church & Community Centre became a Collection Point for Foodbank.

If you would like to donate non-perishable, in-date foodstuffs, these will be distributed to local people in crisis. Please leave items in the plastic box provided in the Foyer. We thank everyone who supports the Foodbank in any way possible.

Food donations can be left any time the Church Porch Doors are open, i.e. Monday – Friday from 9.30 am – 12 noon, and again at various times in the afternoon, and evenings. Donations can also be left on Sunday mornings from 10 am - 12.30 pm. As at 13/10/13, 122kg of food has been donated so far.

Foodbank vouchers are avaiable on Tuesdays, at the Childrens Centre at the Neston Community and Youth Centre, Burton Road, Neston. A Foodbank Distribution Point for Neston is currently under discussion and more news on this will be publicised as this becomes available.
